History

The London Clinic for Injuries (LCI) at 71 Park Street has been a centre of excellence for Physiotherapy and Orthopaedic medicine since 1934, when orthopaedic surgeon Mr William Tucker FRCS saw the increasing need of specialised treatment for sports men and women, both amateur and professional.
Initially at least, patients at the LCI were mostly cricketers, jockeys, rugby players and footballers. Over the years this has grown into enduring relationships with not only our enthusiastic sport stars but also with clubs, groups and representative bodies such as the MCC, the Jockey Club, Arsenal FC , and more recently the London Irish RC.
Now, with greater awareness of the impact of health and fitness on quality of life, patients come to the LCI with a wide variety of muscular and skeletal disorders and injuries, from the very famous to the not-quite-so-famous !
And so the LCI today combines the talents of highly skilled and experienced Chartered Physiotherapists, Orthopaedic Surgeons and Osteopaths, to provide our patients with  expert clinical assessment and effective, reliable treatment.
